Lessons

Frequency

  • We recommend at least 2 lessons per week

  • Most kids need 8-16 lessons to learn

  • Monthly “remember” lessons are recommended for ages 3 and under

Duration

  • Lessons are 15 minutes for babies and kids under 5

  • Lessons are 20-30 minutes for kids 5+

Skills Taught

  • Independent back float

  • Breath control

  • Recovering to a back float after a fall or jump

  • Swim-float-swim progression

  • Diving for toys

  • Air exchange (3yrs & up)

  • Emerging swim strokes (3yrs & up)

WHAT TO BRING…

  • Towel

  • Swim diaper (if needed)

  • Goggles (optional)

PLEASE LEAVE AT HOME…

  • A full belly! New swimmers of all ages tend to drink pool water when they are first learning. This can lead to vomiting and/or discomfort.

  • Floaties, puddle jumpers or life jackets

  • Any toys (we have plenty!)
